Terminal mp2 is to the right of the airport's main terminal 1, in front car park P3. It's about 5-10 minute walk to terminal 1. Public transportation (other than local bus service) and taxis is found in front on the main terminal.
The Marseille Airport is located in the town of Marignane 16 miles (27 kilometers) from Marseille. The airport is close to the A7 Autoroute (Motorway) and well signposted. The junction for the airport is 30 Aéroport Marignane.
The airport is served by good public transportation with regular shuttle service to/from Marseille. A single is € 8.50, € 4.00 for kids under 12. Should you be a group, it's possible to buy a 'carnet' of 6 tickets for € 35.70. This ticket does not allow for transfers (i.e. you need to buy another ticket) to other public transport.
The shuttle trip takes about half an hour with a shuttle every 20 minutes. The shuttle to Marseille stops at the Saint-Charles train station. It's possible to buy tickets on line - Navette Marseille Aéroport or at the airport or train station.
There is also shuttle service to other towns including Aix-en-Provence. The shuttle to Aix-en-Provence stops at the Aix-en-Provence TVG Station.
In addition to the shuttles that run between Marseille and other towns in the region there is also a shuttle that runs to the train station near the airport - not to be confused with the train station in Marseille. The name of the station near the airport is Vitrolles Aéroport Marseille Provence. This station is served by regional TER trains and not the high speed TGV.
The trip to this train station takes about five minutes. There is a stop at the airport in front of the terminal 1.
All shuttles can be found at the station in front of terminal 1.
